The Hebrew Hammer has become Captain Untrustworthy.
A recent survey conducted by Repucom, which measures the popularity of celebrities, found that only eight prominent athletes are considered less trustworthy than Brewers leftfielder Ryan Braun, who has been suspended for the remainder of the season for violating MLB’s drug program.
“When someone doesn’t play it straight, they get brutalized,” Paul Smith of Repucom’s told Darren Rovell of ESPN. “Ryan can’t fall much further. Even Tiger (Woods) didn’t fall down this low.”
According to Repucom’s poll of U.S. residents, the athletes considered less trustworthy than Braun are Marion Jones, John Daly, Manny Ramirez, Lance Armstrong, Michael Vick, Metta World Peace, Pete Rose and Dennis Rodman.
